The International Association for Business Analytics Certification (IABAC®) is a globally recognized professional body dedicated to advancing excellence in Data Science, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Quality Management, Information Security, and emerging digital disciplines.

Founded in 2017 in the Netherlands (B.V., equivalent to a Private Limited entity) under the leadership of Mr. Hans Volkers, IABAC was established on the foundation of the Data Science Framework (EDSF) — a European Commission–supported initiative (2015) created to align data science competencies with evolving industry and workforce requirements.

Since its inception, IABAC® has grown into the world's first and largest registered body focused on global Data Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence certifications. By 2026, IABAC had issued 100,000+ assessment-based certifications to professionals and organizations worldwide. Today, its certification portfolio continues to expand, supporting skill development across multiple domains of applied analytics, intelligence, and governance.

Expanding Our Horizons

To strengthen its global presence and respond to evolving industry needs, IABAC has expanded its ecosystem through the strategic acquisition of international professional bodies:

IIFIS – International Institute for Information Security
Advancing global standards, certifications, and best practices in information security.
ICFQ – International Council for Quality
Promoting quality management certifications and frameworks aligned with international standards.
IIDMC – International Institute for Digital Marketing Certifications Supporting professional education and credentialing in digital marketing and growth disciplines.

Our Advisory Board Members

Hans Volkers

Founder - Managing Director

Hans Volkers is a veteran Technologist who managed large-scale European commission innovation projects as a program manager with Logica B.V. In the past, he has worked on a strategic level in Business Management in the Defense market, where he was involved in the European train safety (ERTMS) and the Asset Management Control of the Navy. He has extensive knowledge on optimisation of core business processes, harmonisation, and lifecycle cost management as well as in mission-critical systems. He has been involved in the implementation of critical processes with huge impact within organisations.

Jos Bel

Director Strategy

Jos is an AI evangelist and strategy consultant for AI solutions in Europe and the UK. Jos has worked on multiple Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence projects, recommending automation strategies and roadmaps to clients across 4 different continents, by setting up functional and foundational enterprise operating models. He studied at the University of Groningen, where he did his PhD in Business Administration, and specializes in Business Entrepreneurship as well as Financial Value Management. Jos is also a licensed pilot who loves exploring the world.

Suzanne Meyer

Member - Advisory Board

Suzanne Meyer (McDevitt) brings extensive international experience across corporate business, start-ups, and Microfinance. She is passionate about helping others navigate change and uncover business opportunities—especially in times of uncertainty. Suzanne draws on both formal education across Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Singapore, the Netherlands, and a wealth of international work experience and travel. A lifelong learner, she believes that up-skilling and re-skilling are not only essential for the future of work but a powerful way to stay curious, adaptable, and empowered.
