Certificate Renewal

1. The IABAC certifications that fall under the category of foundation and managerial certifications come with lifetime validity. No renewal is required.

2. The IABAC certifications, other than the foundation and managerial categories, have a validity of 3 years.

3. After the validity period, the candidate should apply for the renewal by submitting 60 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) units. Ie., The candidate should earn 20 CPDs per annum.

4. CPD units can be earned through the following activities.

A. By attending IABAC approved training in areas of Analytics, Data Science, AI, and related domains.

B. By attending events such as webinars, conferences, lectures, etc., hosted by IABAC®, IABAC® Partners, or any recognized organizations in the areas of Analytics, Data Science, AI, and related domains.

C. As a speaker/mentor/trainer in knowledge sharing events such as webinars, conferences, lectures, etc.,

D. One hour engagement in any of the above-mentioned activities is equal to one CPD unit.

5. In the case of the candidate holding more than one expert level IABAC certificate, the same 60 CPD units can be used for renewing all the certifications.

6. The CPD units are valid only when earned during the renewal period.

7. The renewal application should be submitted along with the CPD units details through https://iabac.org/certification-renewal/renew

8. In case, the candidate couldn’t earn enough CPD units for the renewal before the expiry of the certificate, then he/she should apply for a renewal exam through exam@iabac.org
