BIOLOGICALLY INSPIRED ALGORITHMS IN AI

Dr. Sasikumar is the Executive Director of CDAC- the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing-Mumbai, a premier R&D organization under the aegis of MeitY, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for the Government of India. After completing his BTech from IIT Madras, he did his Masters from IISc, Bangalore, and he also has a Doctorate from BITS, Pilani. He has co-authored two books, one with Prentice Hall on Parallel Computing, and was also part of the KBCS nodal center at NCST, working on expert systems, resource scheduling, logic programming, and genetic algorithms. During his career, he has initiated and nurtured several projects on AI and E-learning like the Olabs project, which created more than 200 virtual labs for schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving widespread appreciation from CBSE and NCERT. He is also on the program committee at several international conferences.
